Starting rhythm control therapy with antiarrhythmic drugs or ablation within a year following diagnosis of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with heart failure helps improve cardiovascular outcomes, and this clinical benefit is seen across ejection fraction ranges, according to subgroup analysis of the EAST-AFNET4 trial.
